Re: What's in your welcome kit?
Wow I'm just starting out and the thought of doing a welcome kit never crossed my mind. It is such a great idea and beneficial to both the clients and myself. I'm starting on mine right away, thanks for the ideas!

Re: What's in your welcome kit?
I am sure this is already posted somewhere but since I am still learning my way around the Forums, and since it came up. Here is the link to the W-9 from from irs.gov. I just did mine a couple of weeks ago and saved a copy so I can send it out whenever needed.

Re: What's in your welcome kit?
Need some advice about welcome pack,
Does anyone use folders to hold there material in?
If you do, What do you do with the front of the folder? Leave it plain or put something on it?

Personally I'll be leaving mine blank, but I know you can get printed portfolios with your logo/design on it, though I don't imagine they're cheap.

Re: What's in your welcome kit?
I checked into the printing cost of having a custom folder made for my welcome kit and the cost was extremely high for this stage of my business. I solved the problem by creating my own cover page design with my logo and contact information, I print on a 8.5 X 11 transparent label and then adhere to a very nice white folder with the slots on the inside for business cards. The final product really looks professional. I tie everything together with having the same logo design on the welcome letter and some extras I add.

Brenda, what an excellent idea for creating a professional looking folder. I would never have thought of a transparent label. Thanks!

Re: What's in your welcome kit?
I am all over the map right now, creating my welcome packet, setting up my website, figuring out a logo, LOTS of research. I have some black folders with 3 hole prongs that I used for my other small business so I think I will go ahead and use those (since I have them) and some card stock that is less destructible than regular paper. I will have to print everything here at home, at first. I am trying to use what I have on hand instead of spending more money.
Thanks for all the great idea.
