Um glad I read this forum because I never thought about the W-9. Geez I might need to go to a SBA meeting locally. They'll fill me in on what I keep missing.

Ok, so now we all have a list of what to include on /in our welcome kit.

But how do you turn your packet into your client(s)?
Folder..... Just a stapled packet....CD....Email.....

I was going to try out this folder I purchased at Walmart... simply becuase its the durable kind / water proof... and because it has transparent divider sections in there.. and a place for index cards (which I will use for business cards too). One of the pockets is "expandable" so the clients can keep all the paperwork I turn in to them (invoices, etc.) Its a --- Mead, Five Star Folder ---- does that seem unprofessional in anyway?

I am new to the forum but I simply love all the information you ladies share so willingly.
The more I read on these posts, the more work I realize I need to do.
Thank everyone for all the good information.

Hi Heike

I design my own brochure and then I upload it to vista print. They normally offer free printing on 50 brochures and then you can order another 50.

This usually works for me.

In your brochures, do you just put information about your services, a list of services and rates, and just background information? I have no experience making brochures; just wandering.
Thanks.

This information is very helpful - I like the idea of using glossy folders. Has anyone considered sending the information already in a labeled colored manilla folder?
