There is a group on LinkedIn that has other businesses asking for facebook likes. It takes a while to go through them and find the ones that would be helpful or future clients but I think it will be well worth it.

Teressa, done! I wouldn't worry about asking for likes from those you think may be potential clients. Likes are likes and you never know who knows who!

I haven't asked for Likes anywhere but VAF yet. I think you have to get to know people through your personal page and build a bit of relationship first, so I'm gathering friends (where appropriate ... no nutters please lol) in my travels through FB.
