Updated mobile version of Virtual Assistant Forums

After taking into consideration the amazing feedback of the VAF community we decided to overhaul the mobile version of Virtual Assistant Forums! Here's a peek at what you'll find now when you log on to the site from your mobile device:

View of main home page at / - scroll down to view and access the entire list of forums, see who's online, and find stats for membership totals as well as thread and post count totals. Use the nav bar at the top to access the search feature, change or update your settings, locate new posts, or return to the home page.

View from inside a forum at VAF - click 'Post New Thread' to start a new conversation, or click the various thread titles to read the contents and add your questions and thoughts to existing conversations.

The new mobile version offers a quick and easy interface for starting new threads, or adding new posts.

We hope you find this newly updated mobile version more user-friendly and of course, more in tune with your needs as a business owner!

Woohoo! I will be trying this over the weekend but it looks fantastic. Way to stay ahead of the game as usual.

This is great! I had never even tried keeping in touch via my phone, but I will NOW!

Thanks VAF...you all are amazing and so very helpful.

Please don't hesitate to post back with additional feedback or to let us know if you run into a bug.

Enjoy!

Not that I don't love the mobile site (99.9% of my time on VAF is from my phone) is there a way to switch to the regular version?
I know on some sites you can switch between mobile and desktop view, just wondering if there was a way for the VAF or if I'm just not seeing it

Thanks!

Hi there, great question - at this time we are unable to offer the option to switch out of the mobile view from your phone. If you can give me an idea of what you're looking to do, etc. (Is there something in the menu on the main site you would like to see on the mobile version; Is there something else you're looking for that you think should be included in the mobile version, etc.) I can add the request to our to-do list and when we're tackling upgrades, etc. I can see what we can do. We're between programmers right now so most code-related to-dos are on hold but I can definitely add it to the list!

I personally really like the new mobile site. Very easy to use and well laid out. Thanks for adding the post date to the mobile site. Helps when replying to a post.

Julie

So glad to hear you find it useful. And thanks for making the suggestion Julie - it's feedback from members that keeps us growing!
