Re: VA to Health and Wellness Practitioners
Hi,
I am not directly a VA to a health and wellness practitioner though I am a VA to a lady who runs a website that is a resource for those that suffer from mental illness and all kinds of practitioners that offer complimentary therapies from counselling to reiki, massage to hypnotherapy. I was speaking to a lovely lady today who is Zero balancing guru in our neck of the woods and she seemed very interested in what I can do..
Initially, I offered a certain number of hours on a voluntary basis and now I am a contributing team member to her website and she has become a genuine client. Whilst volunteering may not be the best thing for you there may be other options, one thing I have found is that people in this industry do like recommendations and like to put a face to the name, so its all about networking networking networking.
There may be health and wellness forums where you can connect with people as well as centres near you that use self employed therapists/practitioners - i'd focus on one target group first ie medical practioners or complimentary therapists or charitable organisations - perhaps some marketing material geared specifically at them would help, perhaps some fliers or postcards at one of your local centres.
And i'd also say get involved. For instance, I am helping to promote the Suffolk Health and Wellbeing Month here in the UK which means lots of twitter retweets, a lot of linking to facebook threads etc etc etc and since doing so traffic to my site has improved a great deal. People in the Health and Wellness profession all want to talk about what they do. Be there to listen, find out where you can slot into their business and let them know you are there if they need you. It may take a bit of time but you'll get there!!!
Good Luck!!!
