Ideas needed
I have finally decided on my niche and a name for my business and I would like some feedback from my fellow VAs. My niche is Construction and my name is "An Office Extension" with a tagline of Extend your office not yourself!" What do you think? I am still working on my business plan. Are there any suggestions as to whether or not I should register both .com and .net extensions?
Wendy

Re: Ideas needed
Wendy,
Congratulations on your name, I really like it (and the tagline too). I would only register both if you feel that there is a need to secure both. The .com is the important one though.

Hi Wendy I like your compnay name and the tagline. I also agree that the .com is the most important to secure. Construction is an interesting niche. Good luck!!

Re: Ideas needed
Very fitting name and tagline given your niche. I agree that .com is key, if you have extra funds and see a need to, then also do .net.

Re: Ideas needed
That's a great name and tagline for your niche! Congrats. I am not sure how important it is for a small business to register both .com and .net. I only registered .com.

Great Idea on the name, perfect for the construction side of business. I personally would register both .com and .net just incase that one perfect client uses the one you weren't going to register. It is always best to be safe not sorry. Good Luck on your new business.

Re: Ideas needed
Thanks, everyone. Like everything else in my life, my brain is on a rollercoaster. I downloaded the VA manual and after some reading and research, it came to me that medicine is my passion. I have been a medical instructor for over 9 years and love teaching. Dugh!!! My passion is medicine. I thought of offering online training for electronic medical records and other medium medical facilities may need. Also medical transcription and billing. I have taught all of these courses. I am researching this idea now. I decided to use the name and registered my .com domain. Now I just have to register the name legally and I can start to move forward. I honestly believe that I can make a go of this. What do you think?

Re: Ideas needed
I love your tagline... I don't think it really necessary to register both the .com and .net. If you keep your web address pretty easy to remember people won't forget where you are...be it .com or .net. Praying for your complete success!

Re: Ideas needed
An excellent company name and tagline, whether you choose Medicine or Construction as your niche. If I was you, I'd go with Medicine because of your extensive knowledge and experience. Congrats on your new business, Wendy!
