How to Easily Make Your Facebook Cover Image Work For You

Did you know that your Facebook Page cover image is clickable? There's a valuable piece of real estate where you can add a sentence that contains a link to your website. If you're not taking advantage of this, let me share.
Here's one of my Facebook cover images:
After uploading your cover image to Facebook, click on the image and there will be a description link that you can paste text into. Here's what I've added to my description:
Be sure to add a juicy benefit that people will want to snap up. In this case, I have a link to my free offer telling people what they'll get.
You might ask, why would someone want to click on your Facebook cover art, and you would have a good point. Sometimes you have to invite them to click:
The big yellow "click here" button is just for illustration purposes, but you get the idea.
Consider having no more than 20% of your Facebook cover image being text just in case you want to purchase a Facebook ad to get "page likes." Facebook ads are subject to the "no more than 20% text rule." Here's a nifty tool for ensuring that you have no more than 20% text on your image.
