In my last blog post I talked about software that is important to VA's. I mentioned some programs that all VA's use or should be familiar with. In this post , I will mention some software that is specific to certain industries. I currently work for a company that outsources to the real estate industry. The real estate industry uses programs specifically geared to them. Three of the big ones we use are the platforms for advertising properties which are used for blogging. They are Trulia, WordPress and ActiveRain, the biggest one. These aren't specifically software programs but if you are in the real estate industry or are thinking about buying or selling a house, you would be exposed to this. Some other software that is used is TopProducer Boomtown and Tiger which are used by brokers to track activity of transactions. If a broker were to get a new lead, this information would be tracked here. They also use Zillow which ties into the listing services used for advertising the properties. Another software program they use in RedEX which is for what the industry refers to as "expireds" which is basically what it sounds like. These are listings which for a variety of reasons are not active. There are other software programs as well ,like Dropbox and various conferencing programs.
Another industry -specific software would be transcription. Transcription is something that is done by VA's but in the medical and legal fields it uses software specific to that industry. The software used is generally used for dictation or recording. It can be used with foot pedals depending upon the type. I am not qualified in this area to give further information, but visiting the niche forums section here in the group will give you more information.
This is just a sampling of the various software programs used by VA's.
