Default Busy Bee Bride Virtual Wedding Planners
Hello everyone!

I have now launched my virtual wedding planning business. You can find me at www.busybeebride.com. I would absolutely love any feed back (good and bad) on any aspect of the business idea. Your advice will help me immensely.

I had heard from another member awhile back that there was another virtual planner? I'd love to touch basis with her if someone can put me in touch?

Have a great day!

I think it's fantastic. I got married in March and it's true, I researched a lot online. I had no idea what to do and I was lucky to find a wedding forum with lots of lovely ladies on (like this forum) who saved me from all the mistakes and helped me to plan my wedding properly. So it's a great service you offer!!!

If I may criticise your website: the homepage pic is too large for the text on the side or put more paragraphs in the text to adjust the text to the size of the photo.

In the first paragraph there are some typos. "45% of couples spend more then their budgeted" should read "45% of couples spend more than they budgeted". I hope I got that right, but typos in the first line is better to be avoided to appear professional. I hope you don't mind me saying that.

Are you sure your services aren't too cheap? You might review your prices once you get more experience under your belt. I think wedding couples have the money to spend and are grateful if you offer good service. You offer quite a lot in your complete package and it will cost you a lot of time, so don't sell your services too cheaply.

Hi KiwiVA!

Thank you, thank you for your comments! I will make the changes to the typo(s) you're speaking of. In all honesty, the web site is a homemade one and I personally think it shows! I'm currently on the hunt for a web master to make a custom page for me to jazz it up a bit.

You're not the first person to mention that my services may be too cheap. I struggle with the pricing on this because on one hand I realize that I do offer a lot for the price I'm quoting, but on the other hand I feel that because I don't have consistent business right now that I need to offer my services at a lower price? The other problem that I have to consider with my price is that if I am too low, couples may not think my services are legitimate. I'm torn...

Maybe you could go on some of the wedding forums and ask the members what they think about what your services would be worth. Don't do it by promoting your business, just ask as a private person. I wouldn't even mention your job and your name. Just ask in a thread: "What would you prepared to pay for the following services... blabla" You might get some valuable feedback from the brides to be and also some more ideas of what to offer.

Hi Rebecka,

No. Not at all. Do you see something I need to correct? I'll be sure to do it asap. What a terrible mistake on my part! It's a totally separate business of mine.

On your portfolio page, one of your testimonials references "With a Twyst" rather than "Busy Bee".

So if you're not affiliated with them why use their testimonials....??

I'm sorry if I was mis-understood. I own both With a Twyst where I am a local wedding coordinator. Busy Bee Bride Virtual Wedding Planners is also owned by me, but I am targeting brides across the US vs. locally.

The error Rebecka found was a typo that I did not correct before posting and I did have permission from the couple to make that correction.

I'm very sorry for the confusion.

OK, thanks for clarifying. I just wanted to make sure, it seemed a little fishy at first.

What a cute site and a great idea!

Please pardon the English major in me but this opening paragraph sounds clunky with the repeating "putting". Our team of Busy Bee Virtual Wedding Planners understand that putting together all the details of putting a wedding together can be daunting. You can change that to: "Our team of Busy Bee Virtual Wedding Planners understands that putting together all the details of a wedding can be daunting."

I would remove that first paragraph all together or merge it with the second paragraph in order to maintain a cohesive and flowing feel to the text. Also, you change the way you speak of your company. In one place you're calling yourself "our team" and "their work" and in another part you're saying "leave it to us".

Here is how it would look if it were up to me...though of course it isn't!

Welcome and congratulations on what will be one of the most exciting and memorable times in your lives! Our team of Busy Bee Virtual Wedding Planners understands that putting together all the details of a wedding can be daunting. We at Busy Bee Virtual Wedding Planners are passionate about our work and strive to ensure that your wedding day is exactly to your liking. We and our exclusive team of professional vendors in your area can develop fabulous decor and design ideas. Working together we offer you discounted rates so you can not only have the "bee-autiful" wedding day you deserve, but one you can also afford - regardless of your budget. So don't stress about the day-to-day details that come along with planning a wedding.

Leave the details to us and let us show you how fun, easy and affordable planning your wedding can, well, "bee"!

Just my two cents since I can never turn down an opportunity to help someone write something!

Gotcha! Thanks for the clarification Christa
I'll have a peek at your site and post back a little later.
