The encoding isn't working for me. When I enter my e-mail address is says "please enter a valid email address"
What can I do?

LOL, ideally - in terms of spam, that would be the move to make but with the email encoded like this you'll be just fine.

As far as PO Boxes...it's been a while since I've been on the receiving end of floods of junk postal mail (funny, that problem only seems to plague the west...) so I don't know. I think a PO box protects you from a number of possible annoyances and should be fine.

Regarding the contact form - if your program offers one it's a great way to go - but the thing is then to make sure that navigation to your contact page is clealy visible.

I put mine on the bottom of the first page. Can't miss it that way

On my web site, I took off my email address and replaced it with a link that says email us. Does that type of structure need to be encoded as well? I'm sure my web designer set it up correctly, but I wanted to double check.

Hi Doreen (sorry I missed your question!), the spiders read the source code of your web page so unfortunately you're still exposed...I'd suggest encoding and replacing on the site to avoid more junk mail than you're likely already getting.

Just curious, how much spam do each of you get daily?

None yet! But, I've only had my website up for about 6 weeks

I've had my email spoofed which wasn't fun! My ssam folder catches about 30-50 spam pieces a day!!! I have since purchased a dedicated email address that corresponds with my domain name and that will always be private!

Spoofed? Yikes! Do you mean someone hijacked your email address?

If you install this encoded email instead of the one you've got up there now you'll drastically reduce the number of spam emails you receive. Give it a shot (again, it takes a bit to see the difference but is worth doing.)
