This is a REALLY dumb question, I know, but if you're offering transcription, do you say, for example, The Perfect Word Transcription Service or The Perfect Word Transcription Services? I've seen it both ways with other businesses and it's really bugging me! (Probably a little too obsessive here...LOL!) And for this: The Perfect Word offers transcription services, and The Perfect Word is a transcription service? The plural/singular thing here.

Yep, that's what I was thinking, too, depends on how you use it. But I see businesses using it as part of their name both ways...Betty's Transcription Service AND Wanda's Transcription Services. So, just a bit confused if there was a correct way in this case.
I think "transcription service" is shorter and can be easier to remember. Sometimes, people even have biz names where they have more than one word that is plural. I think this makes it harder to remember which word is plural. So I think it's just simpler if none of your words are plural so that people wont need to remeber the plurals.
I think it also depends on SEO - people are more likely to search for "transcription services" than "transcription service" I believe (can't remember off the top of my head but pretty sure there were more searches for the former!)
ok on an seo stand point, I would think that transcription services would be more appropriate to use than transcription service simply because transcription services has transcription service on it already so it targets 2 keywords instead on 1.
