Free transcription software - alternative to ES

Came across this over the weekend, it's called For The Record and it's free transcription software

I'm just testing it out at the moment. I love the fact you can minimise it so it's minute.

Thank you. I just down loaded the player, it's 24MB. I want to practice transcribing. I'd like to offer it as part of my services, because I do like data entry but I need to get comfortable with it first.

Guys, I am trying to diversify into transcription also, can you guys advise where is a good website or place to find potential clients.

So far not that impressed, can't find a quick way to load files when it's minimised or to change the display so it shows me time elapsed/to go rather than whatever time it's showing me (seems to be the time I downloaded the file?!). And it doesn't do many file types.

Otherwise the sound quality is good and I quite like the fact it doesn't take up much room on the screen.
