Many prefer not too and many prefer to do it. In my opinion it is valuable and works for me. I was wasting many hours per week sometimes several hours per day with prospects and as soon as they heard my rates they said I am out of their price range. I started seeing a lot more success very rapidly when I posted my rates "Starting at $?". I also realized where my marketing efforts were working best and where the lower paying projects were coming from. It was a great learning curve for me and the results were great!
