What an inspiration you are! I'm just starting out and decided to start as a subcontractor...I can't believe I had the nerve to e-mail someone asking if they could use the help as I tend to be shy, "ask and you shall receive" right? Thanks again for your insight!

Pam,
Wonderful interview, I aspire to be just like you. I believe a sunny, positive attitude is key. My family means alot to me and work flexibility is key as well. Best of luck on your ventures.

thanks for sharing. I haven't figured out my niche yet, but my skills are surely in the administrative end of it. Will follow you on Facebook.

Thank you, Pam for all the insights. I'm good with administrative work, but I've never been one to market myself. I can see that I'm going to have to make major changes to let people know what I can do for them. Seeing that you've done it, I know that I can follow in your footsteps.
Nice thought about the foot pedal - I've been doing paralegal work rather than secretarial work lately, but I'm betting that with the marketing I'm doing the transcription will be coming back to me, and I really never minded doing it.
I hope that a year or two from now I can credit you with being one of my positive influences.
