Default Dropbox integrates with Facebook
I just read this article on Inc about the partnership of Dropbox and Facebook. You link your accounts and then can share files in Groups and business-to-business. This could be a great development for client interaction.

I have seen the name Dropbox around this forum site. Is it an easy thing to have for clients to give you their work?

This is certainly a great option for sharing with groups and I am curious to watch how it plays out and will be something to maintain for clients. However, for business to business, many of my currently clients now have shared folders so I am not sure how that will affect this process.

Terri, it is one of the easiest ways to share files with clients. You set up your box and they theirs, share the folder that contains documents and such and you now both have access in real time.

Dropbox is great but personally, being concerned with respect to security and confidentiality, I'd never share files on Facebook.

Agreed, I would never openly share files through Facebook though I have shared pictures with family and friends through their Facebook account names. It was the easiest way to be honest.

However, I do agree with a client it would be best to keep it far from Facebook unless you are gearing it towards social media and plugging their business.

In my experience, Facebook privacy and security is sorely lacking. I would not use Dropbox to share docs with a client.
