I am sure some of you are quite familiar with some of these within this list. Make sure to check the comments as well for additional open source software.

Nice, thanks for the post. There's a few apps on that list that I hadn't heard of so that's cool. I've been looking for a new accounting program to use, so I'm going to try the open source program suggested there and see how it works.

I know that sometimes even though it's open source doesn't necessarily mean that it's worth it free price tag.

I also like Paint for graphics work - similar to Photoshop but free and there are LOTS of add-ons to be had. I just downloaded one that allows me to curve my text and another one that turns any picture to looking metallic. www.getpaint.net

Is there a software product nicely priced that will do client management, invoicing, time tracking, and accounting? I am a fan of the invoice machine but it doesnt do accounting ie: income minus business expenses.....

Thanks, Dawn. I use some of the open source software listed and love it, have heard of some and want to try it, and the others are going to be interesting to investigate. The support here is amazing!

Renee, I would be interested in hearing how you like the accounting software and how it works out for you.

Thanks Dawn for the great resource! Free is a good thing
