Need to schedule your updates but LOVE Ping.fm...check this out - Virtual Assistant Forums

I found a service called "LetterMeLater". It is a email service that you can use to schedule emails and you can use it to schedule your ping.fm updates. I use gmail for most of my clients stuff and so what I would do is:

Create an email that you would like to be delivered at a later date (or dates) like you normally would. It can even be reply or a forward.
Address the email to
Put the recipients, and time to send at the top of the message. (This text will be removed from the email)
Here is what you need to include:

to: recipient(s)
cc: recipient(s)
bcc: recipient(s)
when: date(s) to send - semicolon delimited for recurring emails
options: any of these options: reminder, hidden, html

*(only to: and when: are required)
You will immediately receive a response, indicating whether is was done successfully or not. If it was, you will be able to see the email in your LetterMeLater account.

I am trying it out today to see if I like it and if it is that easy.I love Hootsuite but you can't update all your places with that. I have a client that wants her morning quote out by 5 AM to her FB, Twitter and LI.

It is free and it works perfectly. I sent an email from there to her ping email and it updated all her status'. YAAAY!!

There is also another feature with ping.fm where you can use your email and phone to update.

Here is what ping.fm says:
"You can post messages from your posting e-mail address simply by sending a standard e-mail from your computer or mobile phone. If your wireless provider supports SMS to e-mail, that will also work.

You can also attach pictures to your e-mail and we will host and link them in your update.

Keep your posting e-mail address secret. If someone got ahold of it, they could post messages to your account. "

Yeah, but I needed something for a client that wanted to schedule all her morning quotes for the week on Sunday and she won't use outlook. Her email is gmail and you cant schedule emails to go out at different times and dates on gmail. So this is the perfect fit for her. And it is good I sent out a test one for her and it worked perfectly. All her status' were updated in a couple of minutes after the email went out. ANd she can do it from her gmail. Sends them to the LetterMeLater email and when it is supposed to send them out it did. Now her 5 AM quotes will go out perfectly (cuz I am not up at 5!!!)

I see. I thought you were doing it for her.

I use my outlook and send the emails for my clients to their ping.fm.

I was trying to help you avoid an extra step

But this makes sense if the client is doing it.

Nah...for her I am her Coach and Go to person. I created all her accounts and taught her how to do it. She has clients that tweet her and she likes tweeting them back. I find her questions on LinkedIN and Ning groups for her to belong to and post to. But my other clients I post from my Outlook for their pings.
