Help!

I have a client who wants me to teach him how to link his Facebook to his Twitter. I've tried to do this with mine, but they don't link. I've followed the instructions on Facebook and wasn't able to find instructions for this on Twitter.
Is there someone here that can help me?

Are talking about sending posts from his Facebook page to his Twitter account? You can do this by going to http://facebook.com/twitter either through his account or if you are an admin on his account. You'll need to know his Twitter password though.

To post to his Facebook personal profile from Twitter, you'll need to add the Twitter application found here: http://apps.facebook.com/twitter/

You can also update Facebook and Twitter at the same time using either Hootsuite or Ping.fm, depending on your needs.

I've been experimenting with my own accounts and it isn't working.

Are your facebook posts not showing up on Twitter at all? The accounts I have linked feed to Twitter very quickly, but maybe there is a lag somewhere. If they aren't showing up at all, I'd go back and make sure that you have entered all the login information correctly (if you already haven't done this!).

This is one Facebook thing that has worked for me easily, so I'm not sure what the problem is, but if it still isn't working, please post here or send me a PM and I can try to sort it out.

The posts have not shown up at all.

I have "talked" with Facebook friends and it seems that none of them can link FB & Twitter either.

I finally went to ping.fm and am able to post to Twitter & Facebook through that.

I did think that perhaps I was using an incorrect password or username. I was able to log into Twitter on its on though. Just not able to while trying to link them together.

You may want to use a separate program like www.Hootsuite.com. It will allow you to post to Linked In, Twitter and Facebook all at once.

Thanks. I did find ping.fm. I've never heard of Hootsuite. I will check that out.

Facebook seems to be very selective on whom they allow to link to Twitter. LOL

And to link twitter updates to LinkedIn, there is an app within LinkedIn for that.

Phyllis - that is really strange. I just checked my clients' accounts, and they are still feeding correctly., I'm not sure what the problem is, but ping.fm or Hootsuite are good options to use. I've been using Hootsuite for a couple of months and really like it, so be sure and check it out.

And for what it's worth, I'm having trouble getting one clients blog to feed to her fan page. Works perfectly for other clients, just not her page. Hopefully all these glitches will work themselves out soon.

Thank you Gladys. I appreciate all of you who have given this request for information some thought. I think that Facebook is just not consistent with applications. From posts on their Help board many people have just given up trying to link the two together.

I'm going to try it their way from her computer, and if it doesn't work I'll use ping or Hootsuite.
