After assessing the most effective use of my time, I've pretty much dropped trying to get my website in front of the unknown internet masses. It takes a lot of time to learn AND DO everything required to improve your website's
SEO and get it on online directories. While I am new to the VA industry, my gut instinct tells me that just like I got my traditional jobs of old, getting clients as a virtual assistant is really no different. It's almost ALWAYS about networking. All of my jobs, with the exception of one, has been through solid networking and referals.
So, not to rain on this thread's parade, but I've decided to concentrate my very precious time on building a network by going to meet-ups, my local chamber of commerce, and just talking my new company up with everyone!
