Arrow SEO 'the lazy way'
I like this article, How to do SEO the Lazy Way, for two reasons, one is the author is instructing his readers how to best utilize their virtual assistant to complete routine SEO tasks - and the other is because the list of steps to follow are (for the most part) applicable and doable even for people who have no experience with SEO.

I will say that I don't necessarily (personally) recommend or utilize the for-a-fee options he lists here - good SEO can be done without this, but it's clearly working for him so if you do have a budget for these kinds of things, it might be worth looking into as well.

That said, look at the items he lists that don't cost you anything but time and see what you can do to help your own site rank better in the SERPs.

The part that I really like about this article is using Fiverr for tweets, Facebook likes, etc. (or other various things) Never thought about that and being new I don't have as many "likes" or followers for my business and this could be worth the publicity for the $5.

Really good read, thanks for sharing!

Good article Tess and I agree on the the for-a-fee options. Personally I would rather not purchase my likes, fans or followers this way I know when I am getting those actions they are because my information was helpful to the right target.

You do not have to pay for followers/ likes. They have a few free sites that do it.
Try tweers.com, socialclerks.com

I feel on the fence about the mass following thing. On one hand, I wouldn't do it because of the quality vs. quantity factor. On the other hand, people will perceive you to be credible based on the numbers.

This is exactly what I was thinking...you bring up a great point about the quality factor.

I agree! I recently read that there is some scrutiny going on regarding "fake" FB likes and Tweets. I've used Fiverr twice for other things, but when I was looking for services, I saw a lot of ads for promises to do X likes on FaceBook for $5. They are underhanded ways to get something that is not real and not really measurable. It defeats the purpose of SEO, IMHO. I would rather deal with reality and not something that was conjured up for $5.

I agree with the sentiment. But is it really that much different from pay-per-click advertising? It's all paid advertising at the end of the day, all aimed at getting your business exposure and getting your name out there.

I completely agree that doing things the organic way is more satisfying and noble, but you can bet your bottom dollar that if you don't take advantage of these options, lots of others will!
