One of the easiest methods of increasing your number of backlinks is to provide a simple way for your site or blog visitors to link back to you.
Thanks to Luca Zappa there's the Brilliant Button Maker, which lets you enter your own text and color choices to create a darling little button - you know how much blogs and the like *love* these little eye-candies, so why not offer one of your own?
Just create your own 80 x 15 button to your liking, save the file to your website somewhere, and write up a bit of code to publish on your site so that all people have to do is copy and paste that code into their own site or blog template and voila! You've got a little bit more publicity, a bit more linkage, and an extended network!
