Just FYI
I love Freshbooks. I just started using it because it allows you and your subcontractors to keep your time all in one place. Your subs can use it for their own clients too plus they can invoice you directly from their own Freshbooks account. It's a great solution but it's not perfect. Not yet. It integrates beautifully with Basecamp too. I also use MailMangr which also integrates with Basecamp. MailManagr allows you to forward your emails (including attachments) directly into Basecamp so there's no more cutting and pasting and toggling between the two.

These 3 tools have saved me a ton of time. They all offer free versions but the paid versions are well worth it and not very expensive. I make the subscriptions part of my monthly business expenses and they're tax deductible.

Interesting to know you use both basecamp and freshbooks, I guess they each cover different areas?

Basecamp is a project management software that does have timetracking available on the Plus plan and higher. At the present time I don't have a need for the Plus plan so I use Freshbooks for time tracking and invoicing. Regardless of the time tracking feature offered by Freshbooks, it's an excellent invoicing tool.

Since the 2 software programs integrate with each other it makes it an ideal solution for me until such time that my client base outgrows these programs. (and I don't see that ever happening)

I also have a few links to share.

ManyMoon - https://www.manymoon.com
GoalKeeper - http://www.goalkeeper.rs/ ((very new, just launched))
Joint Contact - http://www.jointcontact.com/index.html
MyIntervals - http://www.myintervals.com/
OnStage - http://www.onstageportal.com/
Lightspoke - http://www.lightspoke.com/index.jsp
GroupSwim - http://groupswim.com/
DeskAway - http://www.deskaway.com/
Liferay - http://www.liferay.com/web/guest/home
SpringLoops - https://www.springloops.com/

Its nice to have a variety of project management "assistant" programs that we can choose from, simply because we do not all work the same. Or there may be items in a program that we do not find the use for.

Do any of these collaborative software programs allow for the upload of jpg photos? I know Central Desktop does not at this time. A photo viewer is in beta version right now but I need to be able to transfer photos between clients so I would need not only to view but to download.

Do you know if any of the project management or collaborative software programs listed here can work with photos?

Thanks,

Janine

Yes. Onstage, ManyMoon, GoalKeeper and Deskaway do have options of uploading files (jpg pictures included), not only uploading but the download option is available.

Hope that helped you out!

Yes that does help out, Eddna, thank you!

I haven't looked but are these free or paid versions of the programs you are referring to which allow for upload and download of photos?

Thanks,
Janine

Your Welcome Janine!!

MyIntervals is very very limited on the free account, they do not give you the option of adding clients. Their free version is basically a very limited trail, in hopes of you buying one of the packages they offer.

Joint Contact - Not sure
and
Liferay is not free!

I forgot to add :

TeamWorkPM - http://www.teamworkpm.net/ ((free))
ProWorkFlow - http://proworkflow.com/ ((free trail only))
Producteev - http://www.producteev.com/
GoPlan - http://goplanapp.com/
Harvest - http://www.getharvest.com/features/

Thanks...so from Teamwork to Harvest in your list will all allow for upload and download of jpg files but only Teamwork and ProWorkflow are free? Is this so?

I'm looking for free and the ability to work with jpgs.

Thanks again!

Janine
