I'm trying to use as much free/open source software as possible, and got a strong recommendation for Project Pier for an online project management installation.

The only discussion in the forum about Project Pier dates back to 2009 -- does anyone have more recent experience using this software?

And my main question: I'm planning to install this in a subdomain of my site, but having a hard time deciding what that should be. Which of the following would you use?

pp.adminprofi.com
portal.adminprofi.com
clients.adminprofi.com
projects.adminprofi.com
projectpier.adminprofi.com

Any other ideas/suggestions? Thanks for your input!

I would use projects.adminprofi.com.

If you are thinking of installing it on a subdomain think of who will be accessing. If set up for your clients to access then clients.subdomain.com might make sense, but it it's mainly for your team of VAs the something like projects.subdomain.com or team.subdomain.com would make sense.

Since I'm not a "team" yet, just working for myself, and using this to have a place to manage client projects, that is my focus. I'm leaning toward "client.adminprofi.com" or "portal.adminprofi.com" for that reason.
