My first press release--opinions welcome!
BTW, my name is Michelle. I need to update my profile here, but have been a tad busy with other things.
Anyway, utilizing a lot of tips I found here and other places on the internet, I've drafted my first press release. I would love to have your feedback!
Here it is:
ATTORNEYS ARE UTILIZING VIRTUAL PARALEGALS
Houston, Texas - January 14, 2011 - Workloads in law offices can fluctuate from absolute inundation to finger-tapping slowness. Attorneys who need additional staff to handle exceptionally heavy workloads utilize virtual paralegal and legal secretary services that offer such services online as the work is needed. Virtual paralegal and legal secretary services have proven to bolster attorney efficiency and productivity, while providing a cost-effective alternative to traditional staffing methods.
For example, Houston Virtual Paralegals provides virtual paralegal and legal secretarial services to solo practitioners and small law firms with situs not only in Houston, Texas, but all over the United States. Work is accomplished via a number of online and more conventional delivery systems, including email, fax or cloud storage, or whatever is most comfortable to the attorney client.
"In unsure economic times," says Michelle Mee Heigelmann, a veteran paralegal and founder of Houston Virtual Paralegals, "law firm revenues can be equally uncertain. Creating increased efficiencies in your practice by delegating procedural work to a qualified paralegal professional is one way of increasing profitability. More importantly, however, are the benefits of improved client relations, more efficient work product delivery and improved attorney flexibility."
The American Bar Association has recognized the value of utilization of virtual paralegal services in its article Outsourcing for Small Firms and Solos: Virtual Paralegals:
"Many functions lend themselves to being performed virtually, including that of a paralegal. A virtual paralegal still works under the direction of an attorney; the main difference being that a virtual paralegal works from a remote location, on a contract basis rather than as an employee. A virtual paralegal enables solos and small firms to take advantage of the economy that effective use of a paralegal can provide to a practice, on an as needed basis"
Thus, by utilizing virtual paralegals and legal secretaries, solo practitioners and small law firms can free themselves from routine procedural and administrative work and be able to focus on client development and relationships that will grow their practices.
About Houston Virtual Paralegals: Houston Virtual Paralegals is a team of experienced, highly qualified paralegals dedicated to providing high quality legal services to attorneys and their clients in a professional and efficient manner. Houston Virtual Paralegals offers its services on a per-project basis, or via a variety of retainer agreement options.
