Default Office Hours
Good Morning!

For those of you who work full-time and operate your VA business, how do you handle office hours? I'm putting together my contracts and welcome package and I'm not sure how to talk about office hours since I'm still working full time.

Thanks so much!

Default Re: Office Hours
When I originally started my business in 1992, I still worked full-time elsewhere. Therefore, in my contract I would block off time each day that I could be available for new clients evening and weekend hours mostly.

Hi Felicia,

I'm not sure I would state my hours in your situation? Perhaps you could just state in your materials what your response time will be when they contact you and say nothing in regards to working hours. I don't think it would look good to say that you only work evenings or weekends or whatever; your clients don't need to know that. They just need to know that you can get what they need done accomplished in a timely manner.

If you'll only be able to respond via email (because you're at work and can't phone) then state that communication will be handled via email but phone calls can be arranged if desired / necessary.
