Default Intuit Billing Manager
Has anyone used this online invoicing program, and if so, what was your experience with it? This week I have been overwhelmed researching so many web-based invoice solutions. I was drawn primarily to Billing Manager because it's FREE and I can create unlimited invoices. Most of the programs I've been looking at only allow 3 invoices per month and/or x-amount of clients under their free plans. I also like how professional the invoices look, with different design options, and clients can click a link in the email to view/print their invoices and receipts. However, the only downfall I find with it is the inability to pay via PayPal. Instead, they have a remittance form with the invoice offering the client payment methods by Cash, Check, and Money Order. They have a merchant service for $9.95/month. I highly doubt I would use the merchant service enough to justify paying the $9.95 to offer credit card payments. If a client wants to pay online by credit card, I suppose I could just login to PayPal and invoice them from there. I wish I could find a program similar to this or Freshbooks that allows PayPal payments unlimited invoices and clients for free or at a lower price point. I am in the early stages of business planning and want to keep operating costs down.

Hi asims,

You can do your billing through PayPal for nothing. Just go to the Merchant Section of PayPal and set up your invoices. They allow you to also manipulate it, by allowing you to put your logo on it and to match your website colors if you wish.

Take care,
Andrea~

Thanks, Andrea! I originally considered invoicing strictly through PayPal, but decided not to because it [the invoice] lacked the look I wanted and also, there are so many features I desire and need in an invoicing program. I decided not to use Billing Manager and now considering Billing Boss or Invoicera.

I just answered your other thread about the negatives of using complicated Invoicera when Zoho is much better. http://www.virtualassistantforums.co...nvoicera-15170 I wanted to say that I agree with the reviewer that Invoicera can be complicated sometimes its not anything I would trade using Zoho for.

I email my invoice thru Quickstart (a part of Quickbooks). It was free for me up to 30 clients, not 30 entries. You can personalize the template with hundred's of different choices - layout, color, etc.
