Wave accounting looks fantastic. Much better than Outright which is who I'm signed up with right now.

However, there is only a Canadian version at the moment (I'm Canadian, so thats great) and the US version isn't due to be released until mid 2012 (I live in the US so thats not great).

I'm in the US (American) and using the current version without issues. My CPA makes what adjustments needed; however, we are going to switch over to the US version once it is available. Sorry, I didn't mention that.

@moiraesfate -- you are correct -- the Canadian Payroll add-on has already rolled out; the US Payroll add-on will roll out mid-2012; but that portion is the only part that is separate. We use the bookkeeping function as it stands, and will add the US-Payroll add-on when it becomes available.

I have tried Wave and have discovered a few key features missing. They have no true checkbook register with balances shown (transaction report does not show balances), there is no ability to reconcile your bank accounts, and there is no ability to make journal entries. Having an accounting background these are really important features to any accounting program.

Just my opinion.

Has anyone tried using NolaPro Free Accounting? http://download.cnet.com/NolaPro-Fre...ml?tag=mncol;1

I have been doing a little research for an article I'm writing for my newsletter and this software has a cloud option for a monthly fee (1st month free) but also a free downloadable stand-alone option. I was just wondering if anyone had heard of it or used it and what was/is your opinion?
