Default Best software to keep up with my business finances?
Right now I am using Zoho Invoice and Paypal to send invoices to clients and have a hardcopy of everything and do my bookkeeping by hand. I was thinking about using Quick Books, but I am not sure if I am willing to pay so much for something like that. I am willing to use online software and I did notice that Zoho has something called Zoho Books where you can manage your bookkeeping, but wondering if anyone has use it before. Any advice?

Personally I'm a MYOB fan (never tried QB though).

I started off using MYOB LiveAccounts (just log in through your browser - no software to download/install). It cost me $25.00AUD a month.

I have since purchased a software package of MYOB as it does more. I use MYOB for accounting and invoicing.

I'm currently researching this too. I recently found out about Wave Accounting which is a free invoicing/bookkeeping program that's in the cloud.

While I use QuickBooks it is not for everyone. You may want to check out Outright which is a free bookkeeping program. I have a few clients who use it because it has online syncing with your bank, PayPal and CC as well as give your simple tax reports for quarterly and year end.

We are using Quicken Home & Business - this cost $100 at Best Buy about six months ago.

There is a free program that you host on your company's website. It is a program called FrontAccounting (http://frontaccounting.com/wb3/). FrontAccounting is a great easy to use bookkeeping program.
FrontAccounting is a pretty basic accounting program, but it should fit your needs for your internal business. I have used it for a clients in the past.

Best of Luck,

Julie

I use Wave Accounting -- It's so easy to learn and it's totally FREE! And you can connect it to your Freshbooks account!

QuickBooks works great for myself and many of my clients, you can purchase a desktop version or the online version. There is also Wave and Xero for complete cloud computing that pulls your information from bank and credit card accounts for you.
