I use subcontractors however I have also used interns. I have worked with interns from both college level and business trade schools. I offered the college credits of course as well as a stipend at the completion of the project.

One thing new I am trying is working with high school seniors. Here in my neck of the woods all senior must complete a project in order to graduate so I am looking into working with a vocational school. Each school has different requirements and one of them the student must 'job shadow' an employer and complete a project in their field of choice. Not sure how that will go but I thought I would give it a test run.

What exactly are you looking to achieve?

I am thinking of doing something similar to what Lee is doing work with interns/students in exchange for school credit.

Thx for responding.

That is a wonderful idea. The students get credit and real work experience and you get the assistance you need.

I have two employees. One is a student and the other a stay at home mom. They each have very small yasks on a regular basis, just to keep them in touch. It helps to have them available if I'm ever busy, sick, or otherwise unavailable. Its a great contingency plan.
