Newbie from LA - Virtual Assistant Forums

Hi Everyone,

I am completely new to the VA world, but have been an executive assistant for over 10 years. I would love to have my own business, which is why were are all here! I was laid off in April and like so many others am struggling to find a new career. I had no idea there was a community of VA's who created their own corporations. All the great information is overwhelming and it's hard to figure out exactly where to begin. All advice and suggestions are very welcome.

In the meantime I will continue to browse the wealth of knowledge offered here!

Welcome Holly. I guess we don't find out things till we start actively looking and then get pleasantly surprised. The communities are what has helped all of us to some degree or other. Have fun exploring and learning!

Welcome to the forum. I see you have already found out there is a wealth of information here, so all I can suggest now is to read, read, and read. As soon as you can get into the Document Library you should download the 'Getting Started as a Virtual Assistant Checklist'.

You'll find lots of information here, use the search box near the top of the page to find discussions or start your own topics. Also read, take notes, ask lots of questions and you'll find your way.

Hi there! I was in the same boat as you when I found this wonderful forum. As a matter of fact this forum has been instrumental in my success as a VA. You have gotten some great advice already.
