Default WooCommerce
Good Morning!

I was wondering if anyone has any experience with Woo commerce. I have a client that has asked me to finish setting up his website and he is using woo commerce. I have no experience using this and I wanted to know what is the level of difficulty to learn how to use this plugin.

IS there a good tutorial on how to use it?

Thanks!

WooCommerce is straight forward as far a ecommerce plugins go. There is a great step-by-step tutorial here: http://www.ostraining.com/blog/wordpress/woocommerce/. There is also a good video tutorial series by http://www.youtube.com/user/UploadWo...?feature=watch on YouTube.

As for the learning curve I cannot say as you have no experience however if you have used other shopping cart plugins it should be pretty easy and quick to grasp.

I use Woocommerce quite a lot as I think it is one of the better shopping cart plugins. As Lee said though, difficult to say how easy you would find it, but if you have used other ecommerce plugins you should be okay. There's some good guides to using it as well like the ones Lee has mentioned.

If you've got any questions though or you get stuck I'm happy to talk you through it.

We also use Woo commerce as well as cart66 and WP commerce. All are very simple and straight forward. We are also available if you have any questions.

Can you offer a discount to the customer as they buy additional quantities of a specific item, i.e. $7 for one, $12 for two, $20 for four. Is this possible with this plugin?

You can apply a coupon for $ or % off however I do not believe with this plugin you can do the pricing that you are in need of.

I do know the Shopp plugin allows for items discounts, i.e. buy 2 get 1 free however I am not sure that even that one allows you to do what you want.

I would check out the documentation from the plugin to see what the coupon module allows for.

The Cart 66 does allow this- BUT it is NOT Mobile Ready- so if your customer needs a Mobile Site- you will need to also add the Paypal Buttons for this to work. If you need some walk throughs- just let me know- Would be happy to go through a skype screen share and show you the carts.!

Thanks. Can I use cart 66 with the Woo Commerce? this is will be my first ecommerce site. I dont think being mobile is a huge deal to him eight now, but you never know. I wonder if I can add this option in the product variation, so far in the docs I can not seem to find it.

I have looked at the coupon docs and I know that I can apply a coupon for multiple of certain products I just have to test it out and see if the use has to apply it or if it will do it automatically.

thank you everyone!!

If you go here you can ready how the variations work. http://cart66.com/cart66lite-documentation.pdf

It is set up in the files system not through the coupon system. I think this will work for what you are looking for.
