I hope I am in the right spot! Tess forgive me if I am not. How hard is it to learn 1 shopping cart? My client really wants me to do it,even after I told her I don't know it. "Isn't it something you can learn quickly? You are sooo smart!" That is nice of her to think, I guess, like I am a smarty pants. She will pay me for my time to learn it, but then I feel like if she pays for the learning time, I can only use it with her. Cuz she paid me to learn it for her. But, is it something you can learn fast?

Rebecca, do you know what cart she/you want to use?

ETA: Okay, I think you mean 1shopping cart.

Have you visited their website? http://www.1shoppingcart.com/shopping-cart-software.asp She would need a payment gateway with this and they do charge for their service, as will 1shoppingcart, so I would make sure she understood all the charges involved for processing payments. Or perhaps http://www.1shoppingcart.com/shoppin...nt-account.asp would work better since it has Power Pay and authorize.net (a payment gateway) integrated.

If you have experience with website coding (HTML) and inserting codes that are generated you should do fine.

Afternoon Rebecca,

Regarding the learning curve for 1sc...to be honest I started learning this online program about 2 months ago, and it's a breeze! Granted you will have to spent some of your 'own' time 'playing' around with the system itself, but all in all the concept is straightforward.

Also, dont be shy to call their Customer Service dept. They are extremely helpful and very patient with any questions you may have!
Another thing, create a binder/folder with notes in regards to what you have learned in procedures...it will be very helpful as you move along as a reference of what you have already done.

Hi Rebecca! I had a client who was using 1ShoppingCart. She asked me if I knew anything about it, and I said no. She then proceeded to tell me to add this and change that and do this. I just went in and did it. Granted, it was all set up, so the things she was asking me to do were really no problem to figure out. They have wonderful tutorials. I really don't think you will have any problems. And like others have said, their customer service is really great. Good Luck! so how do you input a customer credit card. and where do you bill it manually......I cant find it anywhere......

nevermind... that question....cleaning up her 1shoppingcart is a JOB!!!
