I just order my magnet and 1st set of Premium buisness cards from VistaPrint.

I kept it simple with my business name/phone number and tagline. I will let you know how it goes. Although I am not new to working from home, as I worked from home part-time for my last job for over a year, I am new to starting my own VA business and figured this was a great way to let others know what I am doing.

I think car magnets are worth the minimal investment. It's a great way to get your name out there around town. People will notice it and remember you. I would think the wording would need to be big enough for people to read or at least a few key words about what you do and your phone number. I may give it a try myself!

I don't have one for my new VA business name. I did have one, however, with my first VA business. I received 4 calls and received 2 clients off of it in the 1 1/2 years I had the magnet. Not too bad for something that only cost me $7!

This is something I am definately going to look into. I always notice advertising on cars so I figured its worth a try. Plus my car is white so I think it'll stand out just nice!

I got car magnets 3 years ago but, not wanting to advertise due to personal circumstances, I haven't used them in a long time. Moved house and considering cutting off the old phone number and using them again but I now live on a gravel country road and my truck is always filthy

If you don't already have your car listed with your insurance company as being used for business, make sure you check with them on car magnets and window clings. Even if you never use the vehicle for business (meeting with clients, picking up work, etc.), if you advertise on it, it's considered using it for business with my car insurance company.

My insurance company says only if you have permanent lettering on does it need to be insured as a business vehicle. As long as the signs are removable, it can still be a personal vehicle. So, yes, check with your insurance company first. Each state has it's own rules.

I have car magnets that a graphic designer created for me. Car magnets are AWESOME!!!! I have actually gone places and people have actually come up to me saying that they have seen my truck going down the highway or sitting in a parking lot. It gets you noticed. Make sure that you have a eye catching design and logo. Vista Print did mine for less than $30 for both.
The only precautions that I should warn you about is that make sure you keep an eye on them because they can get lost. Kids may take them off or when it rains you could lose them.
