Default Client Gift for New Baby?
One of my newer clients just had a baby and I'm wondering if I should send her a gift. My assistant also just had a baby - should she get one, too?

Any thoughts?

I would probably get a gift card for your assistant (new babies go through the diapers), I dont think I would give the client anything just yet, maybe on the babies 1st birthday you can, after you have built a rapport. Thats my opinion....

A token gift may be appropriate for your client. When I had my youngest, the advertising consultant I work with sent me a fancy selection of green tea with a note to relax and enjoy my time with my new baby ... made my day!

I would get a gift for both. Even though your client is newer it will show you took the time to think of her during this exciting time.

If you don't want to get a gift for the client, at least send a card. She will appreciate knowing you are thinking of her.

I would send a card to the client. Depending upon the relationship you have with the client, perhaps sending a coupon for an hour's worth of your services so she can spend an hour with the new baby might be something useful and memorable. Otherwise a card is fine.

I would also send a card to the assistant with a gift for the baby.

I agree with sending a card to your client, and giving a card with a gift to your assistant.

Depending on how well you know the client, at the least send a card. Your Assistant should get a gift with card.

Cheers!!
