Re: Do’s and Don’ts for Starting a Virtual Assistant Business
Holly,
As a newbie too I am also intimidated by a business plan, but am working on it. Small Business Admininistration as mentioned above, is another great source.
I decided that I would get "professional help" when it came to brochure design as I'm not a graphic artist or the most creative person. I found that a true marketing/design company can give you excellent ideas on wording, layout and even starting your business. It can be very expensive, but if you talk to your designer, they may be willing to help by not going overboard with wanting to create everything at once--and you'll get a professional looking product, one that will probably pay for itself in the long run. Also, if you're really pleased with them you can refer clients to them and help them as well. Works both ways.
