I was looking at my list of services I'm going to offer & it dawned on me that I don't know what my niche is! I have tons of general administrative and secretarial skills, but I've also been trained in supply procurement, deed title searches & document preparation of deeds.I just don't know what my niche is. Please help!

I would suggest picking an industry that you find interesting or that you enjoy. Sometimes when you are just starting out your Niche tends to find you.

Sade, what industry would most likely use your skillset? Instead of focusing on services and skills, I think because it's so specialized you instead figure out what industry you can target.

In addition to thinking about key industries of interest, I would suggest giving thought to what types of topics you are passionate about? What kind of people do you most enjoy working with and see if there's a connection you can make to map your experience to what the needs are of those people in those areas. As Cindy notes, your niche can find you if you are open and contemplating what kinds of people and topics you really enjoy the most. Good luck!

I agree with what everyone else is saying, but I would also like to add that you will be doing this work every day of the week so I would recommend picking something you don't mind doing over and over again. Most likely, your niche will be something you enjoy doing in general and it probably involves your skill set - but definitely lean toward what you can thrive at doing each and every day. I love these ideas. I am having trouble honing in on my niche too, but this is really helpful info.

It will also help if you have an idea of who your ideal clients are. What type of persons do you like to work for? And what value can you offer them?
