Internet Marketing niche - Virtual Assistant Forums

This is one of those questions that I'm not sure if this is the best place to post it - but it was a toss up.

I am considering specializing in Internet Marketing - however, need some feedback from those already doing this, please.

We as VA's are already competing with offshoring situations...and as I was doing some due diligence I was seeing a lot of offshoring being done with Internet Marketing. So my questions are: 1) is this other's experience and 2) how successful have you been in managing objections regarding this and specifically how are you managing the objections?

I don't receive any objections regarding off shore services because I don't market to clients who want off shore services. I market to clients who want the value and the service I provide based upon expertise, etc. So the issue never comes up.

If someone wants to pay $4.00 an hour for off shore services, they can. There are plenty of organizations available. But there are risks involved with overseas services and often you get what you pay for.

But I don't worry about off shore services and competition. There is plenty of work to go around for everyone.

Pam - Definitely, internet marketing is a great concentration if you like marketing and have some skills in it. The market for these services is always increasing. You might also think about mobile marketing.

There are different Internet marketing services; so, you may want to pick one and focus on it. It is niching even further. I'm focusing on Social Media Marketing.

Mary - Mobile Marketing...hmmm...that is something I'll check into. Hadn't thought of that.
Rita - Right now I'm leaving SM out of the mix. Maybe we should touch base off line because I'll want a couple of people to call on to round out solutions for people.

There is a learning curve here. I know this is an older post. By saying you can do Internet Marketing, you are competing against website companies also offering this type of service. Get certified so that you can stand out.
