I'm in the middle of writing a few content pages and I am looking for some great hosting companies.
I mean it is only a couple of pages, yes I will need the domain name as well- but what is the best way to find one and can you give any recommendations?

Thanks heaps
Erin

Reading through the posts in the Domain Registration and Hosting section here at VAF is a good start.

Personally, I highly recommend www.ace-host.net, they also have registration for $8.95 yearly - amazing customer service, above-average uptime, etc. Whenever it comes to setting up client sites with hosting we always recommend Acenet.

Hope that helps

I use Dreamhost and haven't had any problems. They offer 1 free domain name for the life of your hosting account and you can host unlimited number of websites under one account for no extra cost. Lots of discount coupons you can use - mmva50 will save you $50 off a yearly plan with them.

I use microsoft. Free website when you purchase the domain name from them for 14.95yr.

I have been using BlueHost...and simply love them. Fantastic customer service - always there when you have a question.

I realize this is an old thread, but I'd just like to ad a recommendation for a Web host. It's one you don't really hear too much about, but I've been using them FOREVER. Tiger Technologies. They have a great CS team, and their hosting plans are VERY reasonable. Tigertech.net
