Default Virtual Book Tours
Have you heard about virtual book tours? They are a way to promote your book and go on tour virtually. As a virtual assistant, I think this can be a service we want to offer clients, especially authors. We can set up and promote their virtual book tour.

I'm helping an author by interviewing her while she's on her virtual book tour. Her e-book, Online Marketing Tools for Today's Small businesses, has just been released. My interview with her will be on my blogs on November 3, 2008.

Have any of you ever participated in a virtual book tour or helped a client with one? I'd love to hear more. Here are a couple of links to more information about them.

I've just added this to my blog to host tours. Writing isn't my expertise but I love having the book information for others.

Hi

Great information. I really liked that latest post on the book baby blog.

I do think it's a great opportunity for virtual assistants and have helped my clients do it as well. Lots of work, but it can truly be very beneficial for book sales. Plus building relationships with other bloggers. What I found worked well was in the pitch I sent to see if they would be interested was to offer several options. Did they want to do a book review, contest, include articles from the author, etc. That way it helps more participate because they often have different audiences and they know what works best. Also, another way a VA can really help is getting everything ready. The more you provide the blogger and make it easy for them, the more they will want to do it.

Awesome advice. Love to hear from others too.

I've done book events on my hobby blog but hadn't thought to offer the service myself as a VA. Thanks for resurrecting this old thread, and the new links and comments!
