Default Working with a Public Speaker
I have experience working with public speakers but it has mostly been research and contacting potential events and people in regards to bringing the speaker on board. One of my current clients is looking into diving further in this field. He has spoken at many events and his niche is Christian Love and Action and Demonstrating to teens how to live (from a parents perspective). I am wondering if there are any new great sites or ways of making contacts based on this niche and also since I never dealt with the financial aspect of public speaking, what are common fees paid to the public speaker?

Default Re: Working with a Public Speaker
Use your Google research muscle to track down speaking venues. Some resource places can be found in this link.

As for speaking fees, this varies by the experience of the speaker and the demand of the topic. Many speakers, in the beginning, speak for free and sell their books or info products from the back table. Many organizations hosting the speaker have zero to limited budgets to hire a speaker BUT what they do have are interested bodies that can opt-in to the speaker's list, becoming life-long fans, and they have audiences who will purchases books, programs, and etc. from the speaker. The $$ is in the items being sold AFTER the speaking event.
