You get quiet patches, and then periods where you just don't have enough hours in the day. But those quiet patches are always useful for getting your own business admin and marketing done.

Good luck with your new venture.

It's great to hear stories like these. I have been functioning legally as a VA since June of this year and I'm already ahead in my business plan so I'm hoping for financial independence really soon so it is encouraging to read success stories.

By the way Tracy, I love your company name... really clever!!

It's helpful to know that others take a little while to get settled, but that it does happen. Just have to put forth the effort & the results will follow!

I am an emerging VA and am at a standstill with my business plan. What is the best way to do the target market research?

Use the search function on VAF (upper right corner) to locate threads on Target Market. You should find everything you need!

I am not yet self supporting, I've officially launched July 5th and so far manage to cover my business expenses and a little extra. I believe that's a strong start, I'm a firm believer that with with the right motivation and work ethic you can absolutely be self sufficient.

I kept a part time job for the first 3 years of my business. My business has been my sole support since the 1990s.
