Hello everyone I am new to this and I recently decided to enter the virtual assistant business. I have been doing admin assistant as well as legal assistant work for quite some time now and I have decided to work from home and become my own boss. I wanted to get some ideas from people that has been in my position. I have a computer, blackberry, printer, scanner and copier. I need some dos and don't's of this industry. What do I need to start? I am really good at marketing since I single handly brought in over 30 clients within a 3 month time frame for my husbands lawn care service. I wanna try to do this without going to a Virtual Assistant training course that will most likely teach me things I already knew I could do. Please feel free to leave anything no comment or answer is dumb to me. I do not have anything on clients right now and contracts and things like that. Thanks alot

Just start reading this forum. Everything you need to know is here somewhere. Ask questions as you go along. And enjoy your new business! It is a lot of hard work, but well worth it.

to VAF! The pp is correct -- just start jumping in with your questions and ideas you will find great support here. A great place for documents (contracts, etc) is the document library and once you reach 25 posts you can access it.
