I have no idea what to name my business. I am going to offer accounting/bookkeeping services and peachtree consulting. My last name is Hilton, so I'm not sure if I should include my name in the business or not. I really want something catchy but I have no idea. I'm a numbers girl, not very creative, lol!! Any ideas?

I did see a site titled bemycontroller which I love but of course it's taken but that is the type of name I would like to find. I was thinking something with assets or equity or ABC for accounting, bookkeeping, consulting.

Another one I thought of but is also taken is balanced books

Why don't you play around with some of the keywords and post back with some of these suggestions?

Start with your name and the services you will provide. You've started the ball rolling 'assets', 'equity' and ABC...

You like balanced books...work with those words ABC Balance Books or similar.

You are definitely on the right track with narrowing down a few words, but ultimately, it's up to you and what you feel comfortable saying and seeing everytime you have to deal with your business.

Not to mention, that ABC Balanced Books, is not a bad thought

I decided to go with Virtual Accounting and Consulting. Plain and simple. My main focus will be accounting but it leaves room for me to offer other services and not be "locked in" with only accounting in the name.

I'll add one thing to what's already been said, be sure to like the name as it appears written and vocally. Sometimes it looks good on paper but can be a tongue twister when used to answer the phone.

I have to say that I do like the name Hilton...it is a famous American surname, you know and it does remind me of wealth and commerce (from the famous Hilton hospitality family).

I like Ruth's suggestion, 'Hilton Accounting services' and it does leave a good deal open for many services.

I like Hilton Accounting Services. I actually used to work for the Hilton Hotel before I married a Hilton (no relation, lol) I also like Virtual Accounting and Consulting.

For website names I like virtualaccountingandconsulting .com, bemyvirtualaccountant.com or avirtualaccountant.com

What about Hilton Checks and Balances - says what you do in general and also says you check and balance - it's kind of a play on the words. Just an idea.
