2013 Review and What's Ahead!

Posted 12-12-2013 at 03:34 PM by Tess
It's hard for me to believe it's already almost the middle of December - we're rolling into a new year VERY SOON and I'm seeing clients and colleagues alike preparing to go into 2014 at full speed... It's a time of review - looking at what we've accomplished the previous year and a time of brainstorming - crafting plans for the coming year.

I'm happy to say that I met a lot of my business goals for 2013 - we successfully launched the Virtual Assistant Business Jumpstart classes with 6-figure VA Michelle Mangen!

We produced and launched the new VAF eBook on starting a Social Media Virtual Assistance practice (in partnership with the awesome Luz Donahue!).

I got the paperback version of Become a Virtual Assistant out on store shelves and on Amazon. It's currently being picked up by libraries as well so if your local library doesn't have it yet, let them know you want to see it on the shelves!

In my private practice, I took on individual clients again for the first time in ages and have loved every minute of it! I've been connecting with some amazing people this year and am grateful for the new experiences and challenges each has brought to my business life.

In 2013 I also attended two business brainstorming conferences and got to spend time in person with some great colleagues who are now very good friends, plus I met a few new ones.

All in all, lots of really solid growth and development happened this year and now I'm looking ahead to 2014 - want a sneak peek at my goals for VAF in the coming year? Here you go:

- Launch the new Virtual Assistant Forums Live monthly show (this is going to be so much fun, I'm really excited! If you have suggestions for guests or topics do let me know!) Stay tuned!

- Update all of our courses to be available on-demand so you can work at your own pace, when you're ready to access the material. (This also means that March's Virtual Assistant Business Jumpstart class will be the LAST live class offered at VAF, so if you want the opportunity to learn from Michelle directly, it's a good time to register)

- Release our Social Media title via Kindle and paperback on Amazon

I'd love to learn what you've accomplished this past year as well as what you're aiming for in 2014! Please share in the comments below...

Tess - So happy to hear of all your accomplishments this year…I’m sure you will have an even better year in 2014. You have done a great job with the VA Forums - it has helped me tremendously with my VA Biz and I thank you for creating it. This year has been an amazing year for me – I finally got my first two clients and I couldn’t be happier. Thanks to the two awesome VAs that gave me the opportunity to do what I love. At times I was ready to give up but I was determined to make this happen and it’s not just about making money – most importantly it’s about doing what you love. In 2014, my plan is to continue learning and work even harder in growing my VA biz.
