Does anyone know the difference if any, between the two? Which one would be the better choice? Your input would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!!!

Wordpress.com will give you a wordpress url. Meaning, every site created has the word wordpress in the url. Wordpress.org is wordpress that is hosted on a host of your choice and has a url of your choice. Wordpress.com gives you your url for free. Wordpress.org is something you will have to pay for hosting and a url elsewhere. Wordpress.com can/will have ad's from wordpress. Wordpress.org ads are up to you. Wordpress.com is not self hosted. Wordpress.org is self hosted.

Hope that helps.

I'd definitely recommend .org

Being self-hosted means you ultimately have control of your own domain and site and you get more features with .org

Also, having your own registered domain name will look more professional.

This may help http://www.problogger.net/archives/2...right-for-you/

Nick,

Go with the .org self hosted choice. It will allow you more flexibility to customize and add plug-ins for functionality.
