Default Wordpress or Blogger?
When creating/making a new blog, do you prefer WordPress or Blogger and why? So far I have used Blogger and I like it a lot but I do not like their new designer when trying to change the look/feel of the blog. I also like that you can easily "follow" the blog using Google Reader and that you can see the followers right there. Is Wordpress better? Why or why not? Thanks!

I have used Blogger in the past, when beginning my book review site, and found it extremely user friendly. I also like the Google Connect, as well as being able to view stats and seeing what posts are being viewed.

I know people who swear by WordPress and I think they have more options when it comes to templates. I am curious to know what the general consensus is!

WordPress, hands down There are so many themes, plugins, widgets, and possible customizations I don't think there is any other option that's quite as flexible anymore.

You can follow any blog by adding the RSS feed to Google Reader, so don't let that stop you from moving on to something more robust like WordPress.

I am a WordPress gal. Blogger is nice for blogging but WP is more robust and if you choose the .com version to start out it is easy to migrate to the .org when you are ready to move to self-hosted.

WP can be easily followed through the RSS feed and it is super easy to integrate share bookmarks for social media.

I use Blogger for my personal blog, but definitely a Wordpress fan for my business blog... like the others say you can have lots of different widgets and plugins and make it unique to you.

This was a question I had and so glad I did a search and found this thread. I can seem to almost always find a response to a question that I have. So glad to be a part of this forum.

Love Wordpress with its versatility and customization. There are so many themes and plug-ins out there, the possibilities are almost limitless.

I used Blogger for an old blog that I used to write, but am definitely thinking of switching my "regular" site to a WordPress site, as there's much more functionality.
