Ezinearticles.com - Yay or Nay?
Hi all,
I write a blog and somebody suggested I send my articles to sites like ezinearticles.com to get published. I was wondering if anybody has had any prior experience with them (positive and negative). Has anybody had copyright issues? Did you find it worthwhile to submit your articles there?
My main concern is that I don't want my work to be reproduced and/or credited to somebody else and I'm wondering whether it is a good idea to get involved in this type of marketing.
Thanks a lot
Sabrina

Re: Ezinearticles.com - Yay or Nay?
Articles that you write and publish on line contains a BIO BOX and a BYLINE that you will include references and your contact information. If your articles are well-written they can be spread quickly thru the internet as we all know. Your name, your business name and your contact information would be sent along with the article. With that being said, "Go for it!"
I am anticipating other replies...so I can learn more about publishing articles.

Oh yes, distributing your articles can be a helpful tactic in increasing search engine optimization and building recognition as an expert in your field. The hitch: you have to do it consistently over a year or two before it really starts to pay off. But it's a worthwhile investment because the links are there for good.
Be sure you're submitting on sites that are legit. Monitor submissions, so you know you're not wasting your time. Be constantly on the lookout for new venues.

My advice? Don't bother, you're better off using them on your own blog.
You can read this post to see why I say that....

Not sure that's strictly the case anymore, since Google's Panda update http://searchenginewatch.com/article...-Link-Building

Re: Ezinearticles.com - Yay or Nay?
Not being very savvy with this type of thing, I can only say that many times when I perform a search for a specific topic, ezine is always one of the first sites that shows up with my topic. Not that I always read it -- but ezine is definitely one of the ones that happens to be there.
So what's up with that?

Re: Ezinearticles.com - Yay or Nay?
@bridiej I know, there's been a lot of talk about the downgrading of articles portals, but the proof's in the pudding, and clients for whom I write and distribute articles do very well in searches. As Patty points out, the articles sites tend to show up at the top of any given search. So I don't know that recent algorithm changes have had that much impact, at least so far. Inbound links are worth a lot.

As a former magazine publisher/editor, I recommend that you blog your articles AND post them on ONE article site with a bio box. More than that will catch Google's attention in a negative way but will still put your name 'out there.'

This is great. Within your comments I've seen the good, the bad and the ugly. I hope your situation was finally resolved Bridie in your favour. I will think about the positive and negative aspects of this type of marketing before making a decision but all of your comments were very informative thank you
