Default We're not the only ones being scammed
Or should I say that we're not the only ones people are trying to scam.

A woman on a moms-in-business mail-list received the following email:

Quote:
Hope all is well. I came across your site in research of a story I'm
currently working on and I would love to get in some products if
possible. I need items that have been purchased or gifted to celeb
babies, things that you know they definatley have! I have a list
below of the celebs we're covering. Please let me know if you have
images or if we could get in the actual sample to shoot to include in
this spread, for the mom to be or their unborn baby. Would need
images or product tomorrow. Let me know, need asap! Thanks!

Moms to be:
Jessica Alba
Cate Blanchett
Halle Berry
Nicole Kidman
It's supposedly from a magazine editor? I'm not even sure I understand the letter.

But in any case, we're not the only targets.

I don't get it, are they trying to get free baby gear?

There are a lot of people who try this and then turn around an resell the stuff on ebay. I know they originally said that just images would be acceptable, but if I remember one that happened a couple of years ago, the person perpetrating the scam then said that the images provided weren't appropriate for printing and then requested that the products be shipped asap. So I think the products are the ultimate goal.
