Has anyone ever heard of WAH Success? I answered an ad from them on Craigslist and they contacted me for work for “advertising, marketing, and educating customers”. They scheduled me for an interview and wanted me to download something to my computer at http://www.wahsuccess.net/ for the meeting and to have the latest Flash player. I am not sure if they are safe and legit. Does anyone know them?

Hi Suzanna, I hadn't heard of them before so I went to look at their site. It's a little bit funky over there - I don't know what to make of their chat rooms, etc.

It's odd that they don't have a website with some information.
Out of curiosity I checked the WhoIs information for the site - it's a private registration but that doesn't mean much.

Craigslist is full of scams, I'd just be very careful going forward.

I'll be curious to learn what happens.

Hi Suzanna,

Personally I'd never download anything just because someone says so. Could be a scammer just wanting access to your computer for the purpose of identity theft.

They could chat with you on Skype and the word "interview" (if that's the word they used) bothers me. You're a business owner not a potential employee. Do you "interview" your mechanic, plumber, doctor or vet?

Their site sets of my internal "scam" alarm, there is something not right with it, maybe the 2012 copyright date at the bottom, or all those "conference" rooms, or offices...something is off. I have a hard time trusting CL, and don't see the need to download anything for an interview (except for an IM like yahoo, msn, etc.)

What did they want you to DL?

I find it extremely odd that all of their links (including the McAfee security rating image at the top) go to conference321.com links. And their WAH Success image doesn't link anywhere! For me it throws up red flags everywhere. It definitely looks like the website was just 'thrown' up there. I don't think I'd dare download and install anything from a site that is redirecting all of the links on their website somewhere else with no links or information available on their own site.

A google search brings up several listings, including this thread. You may find the answers to your questions there. It is possible someone in the group has posted their own website listing to CraigsList.

Suzanna - WAH is the "marketing method" for Melaluca - I too went to a craigs list ad --- replied -- got an email about doing marketing, etc. implying a job - or VA position.

What it turned out to be was a presentation on a "business opportunity" with Melaluca and you have to pay to join the company and then they want you to buy all your normal household and personal products from them rather than your local stores, etc.

I was so upset that I wasted an HOUR of my time to believe it was one thing and it was another!

Ok, that is my experience ! just an FYI ---
