It has the IRS logo (can't see it here) and appears to have a real IRS email address. First of all, the IRS will NEVER email you and ask for your personal information. Secondly, if you direct deposited your tax return, the IRS already has your bank account info (trust me, they have ALL your info). Thirdly, if you didn't direct deposit your tax return or used a bank product to receive your tax return, you will be receiving a paper check from the IRS. NO EXCEPTIONS, you cannot send them your direct deposit info now and receive a direct deposit of your stimulus payment. Fourthly, I have already received my stimulus payment, so I know this is BS. Lastly, I didn't put my email address on my tax return or on any other correspondence to the IRS. Important Message From: Internal Revenue Service (info@irs.gov) You may not know this sender.
